So you guys already know how obsessed I am with Madeline & her blog Jean Greige as well as Brit & her blog Disarming Darling riiiiight?! Well I recently sent Madeline a couple of my S.O.S. Originals, and this week I was blown awaaayyy by posts on both of their blogs (see Madeline's here & Brit's here) featuring the tops and some really nice (LIKE REALLLY REALLLYYY NICE-INDUCED AN EMBARESSING CASE OF THE LAUGH-CRYS NICE) words. I couldn't have dreamt up two better outfits...these ladies don't play arounddd. And how freakin' raddd are their Tunnel Vision shorts?! GAHHH. no words. no wordddsssss.

balancing in bath tubs

(wearing: thrifted kimono and diy cut off shorts, vintage belt, Volcom beanie, thrifted shoes)

Stillll playing catch up in posting photos, as made apparent by the lack of pink and purple in my hair. As you can see, as a blogger there are times when you're either too lazy, too cold to venture outside, or too lacking in the creative department to think of a proper place to take photos. When in doubt, pose in your bath tub? Not as easy as it looks for the hopelessly clumsy, such as myself. I am actually freakishly obsessed with this kimono. It's my sister's, and sometimes when she's not around I dance around my house in it with my hair in buns singing various Radiohead songs at the top of my lungs. I mean, erhem.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my fellow Irish lads and lassiessss! The green wig is most definitely going to be making an appearance tonight.

let,it,shine

Something that I don't think I will ever come to understand about myself, is how no matter the relentless, tireless onslaught of negativity and discouraging treatment I am bombarded with by people around me- I continue to have this endless amount of love for humankind. There is so much to be thankful for, so much beauty to revel in. I care so much, I feel so much, I connect so easily to those few who open themselves up and reveal the slightest peek into who they are within; a glimpse at their soul. It's tiring and it exhausts every last bit of my being, but I don't regret it. I don't see myself as a fool, I'm rather amazed at how resilient my spirit is. It gives me hope that I can fill my life with others like me. Flooding the spaces between us with happiness and beauty. Positivity is contagious, and I am so thankful that I have held onto that belief despite those who try to dim the light that glows within me, within us all.

thrifted sheer robe/kimono, vintage diy cut-off high waisted pastel pink shorts)

As promised, here are some photos of my new hairsesss! I think it's my favorite combination of colors yet. I've become scarily addicted to experimenting with weird/crazy/colorful hair lately, so I'm sure you can be expecting to see many changes in the coming months. Life has gone and gotten all hectic on me, as life tends to do. I feel like CRAP for not updating as much as I should/need/want to. I have soooo many photos and stories ready to be shared so brace yourselves kittens. It's about to get weeeeiiirddd.

bye, to, the, blues

(wearing: 'Budapest' wedges c/o Jellypop, vintage tan suede dress and black flowy dress)

I have been so obsessed with prints lately, it's been getting a bit ridic. When these printed wedges were brought into my life (thanks to the people over at Jellypop- these photos are a part of their lookbook take-over starting today!) I was overcome with joy. I actually wore them paired with a floral dress, a crazy printed wrap, and my yin & yang painted toe nails a few nights a go...I think people thought I must have dressed myself in the dark, but nope. Oh, and this is the last of the blue hair! I kinda miss it, but then I look at the amazingly vibrant craziness that is my current hair and I forget alllll about the bluess.

(wearing: thrifted knit crop and skirt, vintage faux fur collar sweater, Demonia creepers)

I am weird. I know.

I get bored and start playing with my makeup and the results are always a bit scary. What can I say, the more time that passes, the more I feel drawn to looking like an absolute freak. Wigs? Yup. Outfits that don't seem to have even the slightest bit of rhyme or reason? DEFINITELY. Mis-matched prints and lip art reminiscent of a creepy beard? Totes. Some people feel uncomfortable when people stare at them with a look in their eyes that reads "what thuh fuhg is dis girl onn?" , but I rather enjoy it.

this is stupid, oh welp

A stupid, stupid post of stupid, stupid webcam pictures (showcasing my extremely messy room-yayyyz).
I'm tellin ya, having access to a webcam when boredom comes a callin is a very dangerous thing. Buuuut, I thought I could take some pictures (crappy ones at that) of my new tattoos and my favorite skirt..and of course a braided stache!

My sister, best friend, and I all got infinity symbols on our pinkies (sisterhood of the pinky promiseeee) as well as the words 'wild hearts can't be broken' in my own hand writing. Now, I wanted to delve a little deeper into the meaning behind this tattoo so I can avoid ridiculous assumptions about the reasoning behind my decision to get such a saying permanently placed on my body. It is not meant to be taken for face value, and no, it does not mean "SCREW LOVE - SINGLE FO EVAAA, WHERE MAH INDEPENDENT LADIEZ AT?!". Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken was actually my favorite movie growing up. I was so fascinated with the wardrobe, the story line, but above all the main character; Sonora, and how grounded and self assured she was. How she never gave up on her dreams or lost faith in what she could accomplish despite how discouraging life and people can be, and regardless of the adversities that arise on the road to reaching your goals. I remember being about eight years old, and watching the movie with a heart wrenching hope that I would never grow up-that I would never lose my childlike wonder and faith in what and who I could be. Deep thoughts for an eight year old, yes. It's a very sad reality that as we get older, we feel the pressure to let go of many of our childhood dreams and we lose touch with our creativity and imagination; we lose touch with ourselves. To sum this drag on of a paragraph up; my favorite line (and message) of the entire movie is "I found my destiny, not in far off places, but within myself".

Words to live by my friends.
