Shooting off a flare across the sky, lighting up the night

"I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or
catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit

I can see the colors of your world shining through

My most recent creations...got inspired and tried to make a top (last photo) somewhat resembling that of the Style Stalker one (with an added twist of my own) I was obsessing over in a previous post; gonna keep experimenting and seeing what else I can come up with. So far I'm more than excited with the results!

I know it's been quite a while since I've done any lengthy posts, I've been a lot busier than usual lately, but hopefully I'll have time to do one very soon..I've also been working on a story I started writing quite a while a go and did what I usually do when it comes to any free writing- got nervous, over thought, over analyzed, and over criticized every word i had jotted down and stopped midway through the twelfth page. Sometimes I tend to be a bit too hard on myself, but when it comes to something as personal as writing I think it's really easy to let your nerves take the wheel and get the best of you. All anxiety and worries aside, writing truly is one of my biggest (if not THE biggest) passions, and I hope I can overcome my fear of failure and see what I'm truly capable of.

Now that Summer is winding down and everyone's schedules are getting back to normal, I'm starting to realize how insanely fast time seems to be flying by these days. It seems Summer nearly came and went with very few days of unbearable heat (which it seems is all coming at once now) and those small moments of utter peace and calm. I'm sad to see it go, but I'm actually really anticipating Fall and all the holidays-and weather that permits layers of knits, scarves, and boots. Rainy days spent inside with a cup of coffee and a good book with the heater on full blast are some of my most cherished and anticipated. I'm excited to see what the coming seasons and New Year will have in store for me. I'm ready to kick into over drive and really push myself to follow through with all my ideas and find many more creative outlets in which I can focus and fill with all the thoughts and chaos in my mind. Hope everyone's Summers have been filled with fun and lasting memories; I'd love to hear stories, so if you have any good ones, lay em on me !

Recent Purchases

Booties (to my satisfaction, very Jeffrey Campbell-esque & for a fraction of the price!) Forever21, Sunnies on booties and cross embellished locket necklace F21, thrifted round sunnies, vintage leopard print cinch belt.

Can pretty much guarantee I will be living in these shoes all year round.
