tell me what you know about dreamin, dreamin

(walking to the beach, my henna covered hand-done by me, cruising in the golf cart with my love, snow cones-hot weather addiction, on the way home after a long day at the beach, a few Summer time essentials: cocoa butter, Moroccan Oil, Aloe Vera skin cream, staple sunglasses, vitamin E oil, white tea & ginger body spray, on the golf course, wild vines and beautiful flowers, the ocean, a go-to Summer outfit, blossoming tea, preview of an up-coming outfit post)

Today was the ideal, dreamy, perfect Summer day. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are with all we're blessed with in life; and one thing I most definitely take for granted is the beautiful beach town I call home. Today the sun was shining, the sky was cloudless and a vibrant cerulean blue, & the ocean was crystal clear and the perfect cool temperature to combat the heat. One of my favorite things has always been to lay on my back amongst the waves and let the tide ebb and spin around me. Today, with my sisters, sand matted in my hair and scattered across my sea-salty body, staring up at the tall bending Palm trees, listening to the water break on the shore, watching people as they pass wondering where they're headed, reminiscing Summers past spent exploring and beach hopping with my family and falling asleep on the couch by six p.m. with salty hair, sun-scorched lips, and tired eyes. I was reminded, today, of how lucky I am. I was reminded how beautiful life is, and how Summer always seems to serve as a warm and rosy reminder of just that.

but i don't wana grow up

from my Aunt Kathy's vintage treasures, and random sandals and accessories)

A few snap shots from the day of my sister Danaan's graduation from highschool (second to the left in the last photo). It was so amazing to see her get her diploma, and since our dad teaches at the high school (and also opened the graduation ceremony with a song on the bagpipes..yes I'm serious) he got to be right upfront during the festivities; I know it was such an amazing moment for my entire family to see how grown up she's become! Thank god I wore a hat though, because I was meltinggggg in the bleachers. Literally. My makeup was non-existent after the three hour ordeal. But it was all worth it, and the feast we had afterwards was the highlight of my food obsessed life. I have a problem and I never know when to stop. Four servings? Five? Can barely move and in a state of serious food coma, and yet I keep on a-goin'. So much for that bathing suit bod..time to find me a snazzy one piece.

just add sunshine

A few Summer-y photos and Summer-y looks to add some color to your day.
The sun is out and my blistered nose is lathered up with fresh aloe, so I'm off to adventure around with my sister. A snow cone and a swim in the pool sounds like the perfect way to spend this
bright and beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Shout out to Chelsea of California Closet! Thank you so much for including me in your

Summer finally feels real, as the days have become humid & hot and longer with each passing (and short lived) evening; I've been enjoying every moment of it. It's beginning to feel like one of those great childhood Summers, the ones that hold the fondest memories that you look back on with happiness as the years pass by. I got a terrible sunburn on my face from an entire day spent at the beach with family and friends (yesterday) that is pretty unbearable. Every time I laugh, smile, or even move my eye brows-it stings. Success. Oh well, I'm loving Summer anyways!

vintage gold necklace-purchased from my Aunt Kathy, random jewelery)

Had an amazing day last weekend running around to a few shops and grabbing some delicious dinner from The Veggie Grill. Stopped by MAC for some new make-up and just enjoyed having some one on one time with my amazing mom. She always makes me laugh and is such an uplifting person to be around. This week has been crazy! So many things to catch up on; blog included...so be expecting lots of updates. How has everyone been enjoying their first days of Summer?
I'd love to hear!

FINALLY! I've been impatiently waiting for these sweeeet blacked out chucks, and they're mine at last. Problem is, I don't think I'm ever going to take them off. Adios platforms! See you never! (okay, I'm obvs exaggerating, but my ankle's still not quite healed enough for my array of chunky/stacked/stilt like ridiculousness anyways-so these bad boys will have to do for now). Can't wait to work them into some unusual and unexpected outfits.

It's Mondayyy, and for me that means two things: reclining on the couch and enjoying some mindless television! (yes, I watch the Bachelorette. SUE ME.) I'm ridiculously sunburnt at the moment, so looks like it's a night of lounging and lathering on the aloe! Hope everyone has a relaxing evening!

p.s. I have been receiving quite a few e-mails recently about people not knowing where/how to comment on my posts since there is no visible 'comment' link. Problem is, under my display settings it says that I have the comment link enabled, and I haven't been able to resolve this problem despite months of failed efforts (fyi: to leave a comment, you have to click the time & date link). If anyone has any advice on how I can solve this problem, I would love to hear it!
You can e-mail me at seaofstyle@yahoo.com

I see everything, in your eyes.
