  Okay, so first I'd like to apologize for the enormous amount of photos in this post, but I can't help getting a little carried away sometimesss. These were taken yesterday on a little trip down to the pier with my sister Danaan [du-nay-en], our mom Jana, and our cousin Janice who's visiting from Canada. It was a really nice day spent chowing down at The Fisherman's (Danaan and I shared their famous clam chowder, ahhhmazing sourdough bread, and smoked salmon), catching up on old times, and meandering up & down the pier. The weather was really strange and apparently couldn't decide between overcast and windy or sunny and humid; which explains my outfit adjustment in the last photo. We had a great time and there was much laughter, which is usually inevitable when Danaan and I are together. My mom always gets on us for making fun of her and picking on her too much, but hey, isn't that what kids are for? We only tease her out of love, and she always sends us into a fit of hysterics with her sarcastic remarks and cheesy sense of humor-I guess we know where we get it from! I can't wait for my cousin (though we call her Aunt) Janice to visit again, she has an amazing spirit about her and is always so easy to talk to. Maybe next time we'll be able to arrange a visit up to her home in Canada, I haven't been there since I was very young but I still remember every detail of the trip and the beauty of the land and environment up there.

  A little side note-today is my boyfriend Gil's 22nd Birthday! I'm so excited I get to celebrate another year of his life by his side. He is truly an amazing person and has great things in store for his future. We're planning on heading up to Knott's Scary Farm tonight with some friends and family, which is guaranteed to be a great time. I'm sure I'll have photos of the festivities to share soon!

Sunday Morning Blues

Above are a few photos taken yesterday (10.10.10) during a lazy Sunday spent with the fam. Bare with me because as I said, it was a lazyyy day, which explains my lack of makeup aside from a quick application of my favorite coral lipstick. Lately I tend to steer away from the caking on of foundation and most other makeup as well, because as much as I loveeee it (I actually was leaning towards makeup as a career choice for a while) I'm usually just too lazy to take the time to perfect it. Also, I find the less you wear it in excess, when an occasion comes around that requires a little dolling up-you feel all the more beautified. I found the pink tyedye dress this weekend on a thrift store outing with my mom and sisters; it's the most perfectly soft, easy to throw on, grandma-esque wonder that is right up my alley.

On a side note, I am planning on doing outfit posts more frequently; and hopefully better quality looks because lately I've been lacking in the effort department- and I have come up on so many adorable vintage and thrift store finds that it's a waste not to share them! I've just found myself so abnormally busy and stressed with getting the website details together that I've lost my usual excitement in putting on anything aside from comfortable and repetitive. But enough about that; there are many exciting things to look forward to this month, including my boyfriend's 22nd birthday tomorrow! What are you looking forward to this month? Saturday Baturday

Today my boyfriend and I went to see a local college production of Bat Boy: The Musical, and let me tell you it was interesting to say the least. He has to see a number of plays for a class he's taking, and he invited me to accompany him to a few that he purchased tickets for. Just by the name of Bat Boy I knew it was going to be something strange, but it was actually very entertaining and funny (in the cheeesiest way possible). We had to leave before the ending because the bf was running late for work, but it was a fun little detour from the day to day routine of things and I can't wait for the next one.
